The St. Thomas Police Service had to step in and take action after a local businesses ignored the rules put in place as a result of the provincial state of emergency.
Police say that a fitness gym on Wellington Street ignored the provincial state of emergency and continued to allow members to work out in the facility after it was ordered to close as a non essential business.
Police received a complaint about the facility and St. Thomas City By Law Officers attended the Wellington Street business to confirm it was still operating.
Following the visit the owner of the gym was contacted and the business has closed.
