With spring upon us, the urge for many is to head to the cottage or trailer park. However in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this is being strongly discouraged by Canada’s top health official, Dr. Theresa Tam.
Elgin County Warden Dave Mennill last week echoed that advisory from the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada.
He adds there is one exception to that request.
Mennill said the county normally welcomes seasonal visitors, but at this time you are encouraged to stay at home where supplies are more accessible and medical facilities are better equipped to handle health emergencies, more so during the COVID-19 pandemic.
