Although demand has not significantly increased at Aylmer’s Corner Cupboard food bank during the COVID-19 pandemic, manager Liz McConnell anticipates that situation will quickly change.
McConnell adds many of her clients have underlying health issues and she wonders if they are self-isolating due to those concerns. McConnell also has heartfelt advice for those who require the services of the Corner Cupboard at this time.
McConnell welcomes donations, with an emphasis on dried foods, canned goods, laundry detergent, toothpaste, toilet paper, size 5 diapers and feminine hygiene products
The foodbank at 29 John St. North in Aylmer, is open every Tuesday from from 9 a.m. until noon and again from 3 to 5 p.m. Volunteers are on hand at that time to receive donations.
