Although gathering for services have been halted due to COVID-19, Destination Church is continuing to give back to the community, just in different ways. As myFM informed you, Destination Church along with Shaw’s Ice Cream and Mr. Cool Ice Cream delivered a sweet treat to workers at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital but the kindness doesn’t stop there.
The church which operates a brown bag lunch program during the school year has had to change things up a bit but are still providing food to their families in need.
Beth Fellinger with Destination Church says they are now mailing gift cards instead.
Fellinger says so far they have bought $5000 worth of gifts cards and says her guess is that they’ll put another $5000 into the program.
