Tanya Calvert, Corporate Communications Coordinator with the St. Thomas Police Service has been honoured with the Catherine Martin Award of Excellence in Media Relations from the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police.
On Wednesday (May 13), the OACP announced that Calvert was the winner of the award that recognizes a service member who has demonstrated consistent dedication and professionalism in the strategic use of media and/or social media to educate and showcase the profession of policing in the community, supporting public safety or advancing investigations in the Province of Ontario.
We spoke with Calvert who says that she is shocked but also very honoured to be named the recipient of the award.
