The St. Thomas Police are joining services across the country in celebrating Police Week this week, over social media.
Police Chief Chris Herridge says the St. Thomas Police are taking time this week to honour their front line police officers, 911 communicators, civilian staff and members of their service over social media.
Herridge says they’ll be shining a light on all the ways our police promote safety in our community.
Corporate Communications Coordinator Tanya Calvert says that although they can’t celebrate with community events like usual, they have a few ideas up their sleeves.
They encourage residents to follow along on social media and participate in the activities they have planned.
