New funding that is meant to help financially support small and medium sized businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic has been made available through the Elgin Business Resource Centre. The EBRC is offering loans to local businesses who do not qualify for or who have been declined current COVID-19 relief funding that has been put in place by the Government of Canada.
Kevin Jackson, General Manager of the EBRC says through this new Regional Relief & Recovery Fund, businesses will be able to receive a loan of up to $40,000.
Jackson says that any portion of the loan that cannot be paid by December 31, 2022 then converts into a regular 3 year term loan starting in January 2023 at 4%. Jackson adds that this loan is another example of how the EBRC is working to support our local businesses during this time.
Those wishing to apply or learn more about the loan, can contact Jackson through email at kjackson@elgincfdc.ca, by phone at 519-633-7597 ext. 337 or through the EBRC website.
