Premier Doug Ford wants to expand testing for COVID-19 in Ontario. Ford says he’s frustrated at the current testing levels in the province. He’s asking health officials to deliver a plan next week to test as many people as possible.
The Premier says he wants to see truckers, taxi drivers, automotive sector workers, food processors, and the broader public tested for COVID-19. Health care workers and long-term care workers are also expected to be tested again.
Ford says it’s frustrating to see the levels of testing across the province, but he’s confident we will get there. The Premier says more details about the plan for increased testing will be shared next week.
