Local St. Thomas runner Terri Biloski was the first to finish a virtual 1000 km race that featured roughly 20,000 participants. Laz Lake’s Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee was Biloski’s latest endeavor as an avid runner and supporter of the fight against Huntington’s Disease.
Participants of the race have until August to complete the 1000 km’s, but Biloski finished in just 11 days and 20 hours.
Biloski says she wanted to see how fast she could complete it.
Biloski who has run to support the fight against Huntington’s Disease in the past, also incorporated a fundraiser for this race, raising just over $1000 so far. She says that her goal was to raise $1 for each km she ran.
Biloski is currently in the process of running the additional 1000 km’s “back from Tennessee.”
Those wishing to help Biloski reach her fundraising goal can do so here.
