Contrary to the popular saying, the show will not go on this summer at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the current restrictions that have been put in place including gathering sizes, PSFT has made the unfortunate decision to cancel the 2020 summer season in its entirety.
Artistic Director Simon Joynes says at the end of the day the decision was made to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.
Joynes says that because of the interest in the line up and the creative energy and resources that have already been put into the shows, their plan at this time is to present the 2020 season in the summer of 2021.
Joynes adds that they are very thankful to everyone who has supported them and they hope to be back better than ever when all of this is over.
