Dowler-Karn Limited is giving back to the communities they operate in with donations to 6 food banks throughout Southwestern Ontario, including right there in St. Thomas-Elgin.
In recognition of the challenges that communities are currently facing, staff at Dowler-Karn Limited expressed a desire to help support those in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff came together and raised $4000 that was matched by Dowler-Karn. The company’s Karn Family Fund, which operates within the Elgin St. Thomas Community Foundation, has also contributed $6,000, with Dowler Karn’s partners at Imperial Oil donating $4,000 to the cause. In total $18,000 will be divided between 6 community food banks.
Locally, the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank will be receiving $3000 as they continue to operate and support the community through the COVID-19 pandemic.
