One component in the next phase of re-opening the province during the COVID-19 pandemic actually feels like a step back in time.
The few remaining drive-ins are now allowed to light up their screens again, effective this week. That includes the Mustang Drive-in north of Belmont. Brian Allen of Premier Drive-in Theatres explains the coronavirus protocols that will be in place.
Allen says the venerable institution opened up Wednesday night and will be operating seven nights a week through the summer and fall with appropriate COVID-19 protocols.
