The new executive director of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare sector and believes strongly in collaboration with others. Jacqueline Bloom assumed her new duties last Monday after her most recent position with The Friends of Moncton Hospital and says she is a firm believer in what she calls, “blue-sky thinking.”
She says an initial focus for her will be individual donors.
Bloom notes she is flexible in implementing new ideas. She adds it is good to take some risks and try new things. However if they do not work out you learn from that and move on. The post had been vacant for about three months after the departure of Paul Jenkins.
