The St. Thomas Police have charged a 30 year old female resident after she falsely called 911, 56 times between January and July. Police report that officers have had to attend the woman’s address or locate her in the city to confirm there is no emergency for every call placed.
Police say the woman has been warned on several occasions and had been advised numerous times to contact her service provider for assistance.
As a result, the 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Mischief Under $5000 – interfere with the operation of the 911 emergency telephone system and was issued an Appearance Notice for court.
