With an abundance of hot, humid weather so far this summer, Coun. Lori Baldwin-Sands is asking city administrators to revisit the decision to keep Jaycees Pool closed due to the COVID-19 restrictions. She made the request at Monday’s council meeting.
She fears young people may endanger themselves by seeking other unsafe places to cool off.
At a special meeting of council last month, city manager Wendell Graves advised members the emergency management team had recommended the pool remain closed for the summer.
