A 42 year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Monday night after breaking into a ground floor apartment on Highview Drive.
Police report that around 10 p.m. the woman pried open the kitchen window of the apartment while the 67 year old male occupant was asleep.
In the process of attempting to gain entry the window screen fell to the floor waking the man up who came out to find the woman trying to get inside his residence.
Police do say that 2 were known to each other, however the female was not wanted at the apartment.
As a result the 42 year old has been charged with one count Break and Enter and was held by police for a court appearance.
