Southwestern Public Health is reporting a new case of COVID-19 in Aylmer.
This news follows yesterday’s announcement of a 2nd case reported in Bayham and a new case in Malahide.
With the addition of the new Aylmer case also comes the announcement of a resolved case in St. Thomas, bringing the number of active cases in the city to 4, for a total of 8 cases throughout Elgin and St. Thomas.
In the Southwestern Public Health coverage area 14,435 people have been tested to date , with 14,061 negative results and 278 still pending.
103 new cases of COVID-19 are being reported in Ontario today — but no new deaths.
The provincial total is now 38, 210 cases of the virus, which includes 2,755 deaths and close to 34,000 resolved cases.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says the majority of the province’s public health units — 28 out of 34 — are reporting five or fewer new cases.
