Elgin OPP are investigating an attempted abduction from a residence on Best Line in Bayham.
Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, a 4-year-old boy was playing alone on the front porch of the residence when he saw a vehicle stop in front of the home.
The male driver approached the child and attempted to take him by the hand. The young boy ran inside and immediately told his mother.
The vehicle was last seen pulling away from the front of the home.
The male was described as wearing shorts and possibly sandals, with no shirt, and had a tattoo on one of his arms.
The vehicle involved is described as a white four-door sedan with tinted windows.
Elgin OPP are asking anyone who may have information to call police at 1-888-310-1122.
