Southwestern Public Health is reporting only 1 new case of COVID-19 today.
The health unit reports that the lone case announced on Friday comes out of the City of St. Thomas and brings the total of cases confirmed in the health units coverage area throughout the pandemic to 242.
At this time SWPH and health units across the province are moving to a new database for collecting information related to COVID-19 cases and their contacts, which doesn’t allow them to provide much detail in terms of cases being announced daily.
The health unit reports that data migration and the data validation process required for such a transition will take several days and the dashboard will not be available again until Monday.
Southwestern Public Health will be posting the information on their social media accounts until the new database is ready.
