A local baker will be spending the weekend competing in a nationally televised baking show titled the Bake Sale Showdown, in an effort to help support the Grace Cafe.
Jude Anderson-Clutz who owns The Welsh Baker which operates out of St. Thomas will be squaring off against Team “GEN3” at Springbank Park in London outside of Storybook Gardens.
Bake Sale Showdown is a competition baking show filming in London, Ontario where on each episode, two local teams go head to head in a bake sale battle to determine whose tasty treats can raise the most money for charity.
Anderson-Clutz says she chose to support the Grace Cafe here in St. Thomas because she has a close connection to the cause.
Anderson-Clutz says she’s even decided to put a local spin on the theme they have been given.
Those looking to support Team The Welsh Baker and the Grace Cafe can stop by Springbank Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday to purchase some tasty treats.
