Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and five cases have been resolved. In Aylmer, three cases have been resolved and one has been resolved in Woodstock. The lone case in St. Thomas has also been resolved.
As of Sunday morning, there are nine ongoing cases in Aylmer, five in Bayham and two in Woodstock.
The health unit’s coverage area has now gone four days without a new COVID-19 case reported.
Since the pandemic began, the hardest hit age group in the coverage area is those ages 50 to 59, with 50 cases or 19.7 per cent of the total number.
The next highest is the 20 to 29 age bracket with 43 cases or 16.9 per cent.
And, 11 per cent are individuals ages 10 to 19, with 28 cases.
