Twenty-six years ago yesterday (Sunday) the remains of Sonya Cywink were discovered at the Southwold Earthworks, near Iona. She was last seen alive four days earlier in London. The OPP are continuing with their investigation and Const. Troy Carlson of Elgin OPP says the hope is someone will remember a snippet of a conversation that may help bring the investigation to a successful conclusion.
Const. Carlson says advancements in technology could play a role in the ongoing investigation.
A $60,000 reward is being offered for information leading to arrest of the person or persons responsible for her death. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
