Another 3 cases of COVID-19 have been marked as resolved as Southwestern Public Health sees an entire week without any new confirmed cases. A single case has resolved in each of the municipalities that still have active cases remaining, meaning Aylmer, Bayham, and Woodstock all saw a decline in numbers.
There are now 7 cases remaining in the health units coverage area with 4 still in Aylmer, 2 in Bayham and 1 in Woodstock.
Of the 7 ongoing cases, 3 individuals contracted the virus as a result of close contact, 2 via workplace contact, 1 from travel and 1 unknown transmission.
There are still 254 cumulative cases across the SWPH region, with 242 now resolved.
Ontario reported another 133 cases of COVID-19 this morning.
There were also 137 cases newly marked as resolved, meaning there was a decline in active cases.
21 of Ontario’s 34 public health units reported no new cases of COVID-19.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says the province completed 24,000 tests yesterday and has now completed more than 3 million tests in total.
