Although it’s not directly in our own backyard, the Thames Valley District School Board has reported its first case of COVID-19 in one of their schools.
H.B. Beal Secondary School is the first school in the region with a confirmed COVID-19 case, the Middlesex-London Health Unit learned Monday afternoon.
In a statement, the MLHU say investigators are working directly with the case to determine their close contacts both inside and outside of the school and will notify them.
TVDSB wants to assure the community that their schools are carefully following all of the public health protocols to keep students and staff safe.
