While the ice is now in place on both rinks at the Joe Thornton Community Centre, public skating is likely on hold for at least another six weeks.
Ross Tucker, director of parks, recreation and property management, updated city council at Monday’s meeting.
Tucker also gave an update on the status of the walking track at the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
He suggested it likely will be mid-November before the public can access the track.
