Stricter COVID-19 measures are coming into effect across Ontario. Premier Doug Ford announced masks will now be required in all regions in the province to combat the coronavirus after Ontario reported a record daily count of 732 new cases.
Starting Sunday (October 4th) assessment centers will stop offering walk-in tests to help work through a backlog of tests. Ford also says the province is putting a “pause” on 10-person social bubbles and is advising people to have close contact only with those in their own households.
Toronto’s chief medical officer of health called on the province today to immediately ban indoor dining in the city and close gyms as the number of cases continues to increase.
