Southwestern Public Health is again reporting this morning (Sunday) no new confirmed COVID-19 cases in St. Thomas or Elgin county. However there is a new confirmed case in Oxford county.
The number of ongoing cases in St. Thomas remains at six while Oxford has a single case in East Zorra-Tavistock.
All but one of the ongoing cases involve individuals under the age of 40, with no hospitalizations at this time. Since the pandemic began, 91 per cent of those infected did not require hospitalization.
The number of resolved cases holds at 259.
Meantime, the province is reporting 566 new cases today with 534 resolved. In total, 62 per cent of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
