The Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit raided a West Elgin residence yesterday (Thursday) and arrested three people on a variety of drug-related charges.
They were assisted by Lambton County and Brant County OPP Community Street Crime units with the support of Elgin County OPP.
At the Kintyre Line residence north of Rodney, police seized a large quantity of Fentanyl, cocaine, cash, a stun gun and an imitation ‘Glock’ firearm.
Three people, all residents of the Kintyre Line residence, were arrested without incident resulting in 13 charges being laid.
A 23 year old West Elgin Man is awaiting a future court date and has been charged with;
1. Cannabis Act 12(4)(b) – more than four cannabis plants at any one time in their dwelling-house
2. CC 88- Imitation firearm for dangerous person(Glock)
3. Cannabis Act 12(1)(b)- Alter chemical properties of Cannabis
4. CC 92(2) – Possession prohibited device
5. CC 145(4)(a) Fail to Comply Undertaking- Weapons
6. CC 733.1(1) Fail to Comply Probation Order – Drugs
7. CDSA 5(2)- Schedule 1 Fentanyl
8. CDSA 5(2)- Schedule 1 Cocaine
9. CC 117.1 – Fail to Comply Firearms Prohibition
10. CC 354(1)(a)- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime
A 59 year old West Elgin man is awaiting a future court date and has been charged with;
1. Cannabis Act 12(4)(b) – more than four cannabis plants at any one time in their dwelling-house
A 34 year old West Elgin woman is awaiting a future court date and has been charged with;
1. CDSA 4(1) – cocaine
2. CC 733.1 – Drugs
