The latest housing numbers are in from the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors, who broke a record for residential sales in September.
LSTAR reports that 960 homes exchanged hands in the region, which is up 25% compared to the same time a year ago.
This represents their best results ever for September, since data tracking began in 1978.
In St. Thomas, the average sale price for a home in September 2020 was $433,504, up 26.7% from 2019 and up more than 102% compared to September 2015.
The median number of days that a home was on the market in St. Thomas was 8 ,that’s down from 11.5 days in September 2019 and in Elgin it was 10.5, down from 27.
In Elgin County the average sale price for a home in September 2020 was $498,098, up 17.6% from 2019.
