As Ontario reports 805 new COVID-19 cases this morning (Saturday), Southwestern Public Health is advising of three new cases in its coverage area and 1 resolved. Two new cases are in St. Thomas with a single new case in Norwich and Woodstock has one resolved.
There are now 15 ongoing cases in the health unit’s reporting area with four in Tillsonburg, three in St. Thomas, two each in Ingersoll and Norwich and single occurrences in Aylmer, West Elgin, East Zorra-Tavistock and Woodstock.
Eight cases involve individuals over the age of 50.
The staff case at Caressant Care on Mary Bucke remains active.
The number of resolved cases rises to 270.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 179 tests Thursday.
As of today, there have been 194,106 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Canada, including 9,722 deaths.
