Shovels were officially put into the ground at the site of St. Thomas’s newest Habitat for Humanity homes earlier this month, however the organization is continuing to look for families to fill the 2 homes.
CEO of Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario Brian Elliot says they are still accepting homeowner applications and you may be eligible.
The new semi-detached home being constructed at 34 Hiawatha Street would be geared to the owners income, meaning their mortgage would not exceed 30% of their income.
Local families who may qualify for the Habitat homeownership program are encouraged to take the eligibility quiz on the Habitat Heartland website.
