Thanks to the support of the community and local businesses, Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin far exceeded their goal for the Steelway Bob’s Walk for Kids.
Through the month long campaign that saw participants walk 10kms or complete 150 minutes of exercise for donations, BBBS surpassed their $20,000 goal, raising $28,000 for our local branch.
Executive Director at BBBS of St. Thomas-Elgin Barb Matthews says the funds will really help with previously lost dollars as a result of canceled fundraising events.
Barb Matthews says it was all thanks to a group effort.
She adds that they are so grateful to the residents and community partners that continue to support them into their 50th year as an local organization.
