In a year like no other, helping those in need this holiday season will be of the highest priority. And this morning (Friday), the 41st edition of Christmas Care launched to help as many as 4,000 individuals and families in the lead-up to the festive season. President Worth Chisholm says the annual campaign would not be possible without dedicated volunteers.
Insp. Steve Bogart of the St. Thomas Police Service says Christmas Care is successful each year due to the generosity of the community.
Christmas Care is headquartered in the former Zellers store at the Elgin Centre. Registration opens Monday at 10 a.m. and runs until Dec. 11. You can drop by weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to register. Strict COVID-19 protocols are in place.
