It won’t quite be business as usual at this year’s Service of Remembrance in St. Thomas.
It will be pared back from previous years, most notably in the number of wreaths to be laid.
Instead of the usual 50-plus, Shelly Haycock of Lord Elgin Branch 41 of the Royal Canadian Legion notes that number will be no more than nine.
Haycock adds that while the public is not specifically invited, they can observe from the Moore Street Parking lot.
The service will begin at 10:55 Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Garden. The ceremony will be broadcast by Rogers Television for those who prefer to stay at home.
