Ontario is reporting 1,388 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Tuesday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of six new cases, all of them in Oxford county.
The big news is 29 cases have been resolved and at the present time there are no cases in St. Thomas.
There are now just 30 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 11 in Woodstock, six in Norwich, four in Bayham, two in Aylmer and SW Oxford, and single cases in Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Zorra.
One individual is hospitalized in the ICU.
There is an ongoing case involving a staff member at Secord Trails in Ingersoll.
Twenty-four of the cases are individuals under the age of 50.
The number of resolved cases is 351.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 83 tests on Sunday.
