Ontario is reporting 1,396 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Friday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of four new cases and eight resolved.
There are 44 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 15 in Woodstock, 10 in Norwich, four in Aylmer, three each in SW Oxford and Ingersoll, two each in Zorra, Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock and Tillsonburg. There is a single case in St. Thomas.
There are no hospitalizations at this time.
Thirty-six of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, of those ten are under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 366.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 183 tests on Wednesday.
