Premier Doug Ford announced this afternoon (Friday) the Southwestern Public Health coverage area will be moved into the province’s COVID-19 yellow protect zone as of Monday morning.
The measures in this stage are meant to reduce the number of cases with the fewest negative impacts on business and the community. It is expected this stage will remain in effect for at least 28 days.
The Yellow-Protect tier has the same restrictions in place as the Green-Prevent zone, with
additional restrictions for:
• Bars, restaurants, food premises, meeting and event spaces
• Sports and recreational fitness activities
• Retail
• Personal care services
• Cinemas, performing arts facilities, casinos, bingo halls and gaming establishments
