Ontario is reporting 1,248 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Sunday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of 5 new cases and three resolved.
There are 55 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 18 in Norwich, 17 in Woodstock, four in Aylmer, three each in SW Oxford, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll, two each in Zorra and Blandford-Blenheim, with single cases in St. Thomas, Bayham and East Zorra-Tavistock.
Bethany Care Home in Norwich has an outbreak with 3 residents testing positive.
There are no hospitalizations at this time.
Forty of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, of those 12 are under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 376.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 154 tests on Thursday.
