Aylmer Police have laid additional charges stemming from a drive-in service this past Sunday at the Church of God in Aylmer. Several in attendance surrounded a police vehicle and prevented the officer from leaving the parking lot. A second officer was called to the area to disperse the crowd.
On Monday, a 37-year-old Malahide man was arrested and charged at the police station with obstructing police and intimidating police. He will appear in St. Thomas court next month.
Warrants have been issued for a 33-year-old North York man and a 25-year-old Toronto man in relation to the parking lot incident.
A pair of charges had already been laid by Aylmer Police including a summons to Herbert Hildebrandt, son of church Pastor Henry Hildebrandt, and a charge against the church.
