One of the newest developments in the COVID-19 pandemic is the Health Canada approval of vaccines.
One of my My Broadcasting Corporation’s own account executives, Marie Andrews, recently received her first dose of the vaccine.
She explains how that was made possible.
Andrews says she jumped at the opportunity.
She says the actual needle was small, so it wasn’t painful to receive, and she’s felt totally normal since being inoculated on January 8th.
Andrews received the Pfizer vaccine, but says residents of her family member’s retirement home will receive a different vaccine.
Andrews says her mother-in-law should be getting vaccinated this week, and she herself is set to receive her second dose January 30.
She adds that in order to visit her mother-in-law, she will still have to be regularly tested for COVID-19 as a safety precaution.
