An indoor service held at the Church of God in Aylmer yesterday, has resulted in 2 charges for the event organizers.
Aylmer Police Chief Zvonko Horvat says that the service held indoors was in clear violation of the Emergency Orders and as a result, they have charged a 57-year-old male and a 26-year-old male both from Aylmer with: Hosting an event exceeding number permitted under continued section 7.0.2 order.
A charge against the Corporation has also been processed, but Horvat says that may be the extent.
Horvat thanks Aylmer citizens for being responsible by not engaging in counter protests during the Sunday service.
He adds that community safety, well being and enforcement of laws continues to be their top priority during the pandemic.
