myFM is in receipt this morning of a copy of a letter from Church of God Pastor Henry Hildebrandt to the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General in response to the cease and desist order issued yesterday (Thursday).
Hildebrandt advises prior to a decision on how to respond and move forward, two questions need to be answered:
1) Does the Re-opening Ontario Act and/or State of Emergency overridet or supersede the Charter/Constitution?
2) Are our guaranteed fundamental freedoms currently suspended/inhibited in Ontario?
He advises, “the request to stop gathering for church services, as has been the custom and tradition of our faith for nearly two millennia, is troubling and seems to contradict both Sections 1 and 2 of the Charter.
