As a way to say thank you for their continued work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, staff at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital were recently treated to a special lunch thanks to a donation from the Don & Hazel Williams Foundation.
The Foundation was founded by the parents of Glen Williams, who graciously made the $10,000 donation at the end of January that was dedicated to providing lunch for all staff at STEGH.
Williams also accompanied the donation with a special note…
“I am sure most of us can’t imagine the stress you must face every day with this awful COVID disease.
Not knowing if or when you could catch it, but also the possibility of taking it home to your families.
My parents began the Don & Hazel Williams Charitable Foundation in 1992 with the intent of giving back to the local community.
Please accept this small token of our appreciation not only from the Foundation but also on behalf of the residents of Elgin County.
Thank you for your commitment every day and please enjoy lunch on us.”
