The Elgin Business Resource Centre is once again celebrating International Women’s Day by hosting a free event for the community, but this time virtually!
Taking place on Monday, March 9th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., participants will get to hear from an adventurous female entrepreneur.
General Manager of the EBRC Kevin Jackson explains more.
Jackson notes that in Canada only 3.5% of the Toronto Stock Exchange listed companies have a woman CEO.
He says that’s a really tough pill to swallow and is a big reason they strive to highlight local women in business.
In addition, the EBRC will be holding a draw for 6, $100 gift certificates to local women led businesses that will be awarded to participants at the end of the event.
The evening is open to everyone who wishes to participate, at no cost, however everyone is asked to register for the event through the link that can be found here.
