A person is in custody following an Amber Alert issued in Southwestern Ontario Wednesday.
As myFM reported, police were called about a 7 year old that had been abducted from a Central Huron home near Bayfield.
Police were worried about the well-being of the child and issued the Amber Alert before calling it off roughly 30 minutes later.
That was OPP Media Relations Officer Constable Jamie Stanley who adds despite being caught near Toronto, the suspect is facing charges in Huron.
Stanley couldn’t confirm the nature of the relationship between the young girl and the suspect but he did confirm that the abduction was family related, and not a random act.
