Much like other events within the past year, the annual Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt is shifting to a drive thru model for 2021.
Taking place on Saturday, April 3rd, the community will be invited to attend Pinafore Park beginning at 10 a.m. to see the Easter Bunny and secure some chocolate eggs.
Membership Director Matt Sharpe explains how the Drive Thru Easter Egg Hunt will work.
He says that with the current restrictions in place, there was no way they could hold the event in its regular format.
Sharpe says that with the current restrictions, they will be asking a couple things from those who stop in.
The Kinsmen will be encouraging families to exit the park after receiving their chocolate in order to avoid exceeding the 100 person outdoor gathering limit. Cars will also be asked to exited the park by turning right onto Elm Street to help with traffic control.
Bags of eggs will be given out on a first come first serve basis and until all bags are gone.
Sharps says a huge thank you goes out to his fellow Kinsmen members, the St. Thomas Police Service and the team at Elgin Chrysler for making the event possible.
