With the Easter long weekend approaching, here’s what’s open and what’s closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
All municipal buildings and offices in both St. Thomas and Elgin County are closed for the weekend but will reopen beginning Tuesday (April 6).
All banks and grocery stores including Walmart, Real Canadian Superstore, Foodland, FreshCo, and Food Basics will all be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday but will be open on Saturday and Easter Monday.
M&M Food Market will also be closed on Friday and Sunday but will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.
Shoppers Drug Mart at 410 Talbot Street will remain open all weekend, with Friday hours being 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Briwood Farm Market will also remain open on Friday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lynhurst ESSO and Variety will be closed on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday but will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Monday.
The LCBO will be closed Friday, Sunday and Monday but will be open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the Beer Store closed Friday and Sunday and open on both Saturday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Canadale Nurseries will be open all weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on Easter Sunday where they’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family Flowers will be closed both good Friday and Easter Sunday but will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Monday.
Heritage Lanes in St. Thomas will also be open this weekend but recommend that you call ahead to reserve a time due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
