All eyes will be to the skies this Saturday in St. Thomas for ‘The AirFest Salute to All Essential Workers.’
Andrew Buttigieg Director of Media and Public Relations for St. Thomas AirFest, explains that the salute is a way to say thank you to everyone who has gone above and beyond throughout the pandemic.
Parades for frontline workers have been taking place since the beginning of the pandemic but Buttigieg notes, this is to honour all essential workers.
And they’ll be in for quite the show he says.
The air parade is for the entire community to enjoy free of charge, but the board does ask one thing from those planning to take in the sights.
A few more surprise announcements will be made by the board prior to the parade on Saturday.
The parade is set to begin around 12:30 p.m.
