The Thames Valley District School Board has provided an update for parents and students following the Province’s decision to delay the return to in-school learning.
The TVDSB has said that all Elementary and Secondary students who attended classes in-school prior to the Spring Break will shift to full remote learning starting Monday, with no change for students already engaged in Elementary and Secondary Full Remote Learning.
“While in-person learning is the preferred option for our students, it is important that we follow the advice of public health experts to keep our students and communities safe from COVID-19,” said Mark Fisher, Director of Education for the Thames Valley District School Board.
“Thames Valley remains committed to providing high-quality full remote learning for all of our students,” said Director Fisher, adding that parents and guardians will receive more details about remote learning for their children in the coming days.
“We thank our students, families, and staff for their continued patience and cooperation during these challenging times.”
The board added that in-person learning will continue for students with complex special education needs who cannot be supported with full remote learning, with more information on that expected in the coming days.
