As of 8 a.m. this morning, area residents 55 years of age and older can book a COVID-19 vaccine.
The move comes after the province’s announcement a stable and reliable increase in vaccine supply would ramp up the rollout of the vaccination schedule.
During the week of May 3, individuals aged 50+ and some specific groups who can not work from home will become eligible.
For residents of identified hot spots, such as the N5H postal code, individuals 18+ will also become eligible.
Those who are 60 and older who are having difficulty with the booking system can add their name to Southwestern Public Health’s “Help List.”
